Self Portrait pencil drawing video
I thought I'd start off the new year with a self portrait. Me at 42.
As you might be able to tell, I'm a big fan of black and white photography. I know that realistic/representational art is out of fashion, so as to no offend the art establishment, I won't call myself an artist. You can just refer to me as a photographer. That gives me license for the extreme close up and creative cropping.

Love the self-portrait, Carlos! You got so much depth out of that one pencil. I also appreciate how you didn't use your finger to create shadows by smudging. That's always a tough one to get my high school students to move beyond.
